UEA Proudly Supports WaterAid at the 2025 NSW Gala Ball
Did you know almost one in ten people worldwide don’t have access to clean water close to home? For millions

This year, UEA proudly celebrates 30 years of delivering Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) projects across Australia. Founded in 1995 as Underground Envirotech Australia in Goulburn, UEA started by providing trenchless installations for utility companies in southern NSW and the ACT. Early clients such as ActewAGL and Telstra relied on our technology for electrical upgrades, sewer renovations, and new communications networks. Our TT 10S Grundodrill was the first HDD rig of its kind to operate in the ACT and surrounding areas, marking the beginning of an exciting journey.
Over the years, UEA has grown and evolved, expanding our expertise across complex ocean outfall, utilities, and oil & gas HDD projects. Alongside the technical growth, it is the people, our team, our clients, and our trusted suppliers who have been the true driving force behind our success.
We are grateful to our dedicated employees whose knowledge, skill, and commitment bring every project to life. We also thank our clients and partners for their trust, collaboration, and shared vision over the past three decades. It is these relationships that have allowed us to innovate, overcome challenges, and consistently deliver successful outcomes.
Here’s to 30 years of collaboration, innovation, and excellence, and to the people and partnerships that make it all possible.
